Rank-and-file UPS Teamsters are united in a simple message for CEO Carol Tomé: our jobs are NOT for sale! “UPS is trying to weasel its way out of creating good union jobs by dangling insulting buyouts in front of Teamsters drivers,” said Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien. “UPS is obligated to establish tens of thousands of new full-time jobs under our agreement. We urge all members to be prepared to file grievances against UPS for this illegal violation of our national contract.” UPS Teamsters cannot be paid off and we will not be sold out. The multibillion-dollar company wants to further inflate its bottom line by attempting to reduce labor costs. But UPS must honor its legal commitments to XXXXXXX Teamsters. Our historic five-year agreement guarantees the company must fill at least XXXXXX permanent full-time jobs with existing part-time workers and create at least XXXXX additional full-time jobs during the final three years of the contract.
