We should be under no illusions as to why Meta is investing so heavily in data centers: Profit, especially through ads.

"DA Davidson analyst Gil Luria said Meta was investing aggressively in AI as the technology has already boosted its ad business by allowing it to sell more ads and at higher prices."

This is one of the reasons why I remain skeptical about Meta's investments; the benefits for humanity remain somewhat questionable.
