⛏️ French lawmakers recently submitted a bill proposing a five-year pilot project to allow energy producers to use surplus electricity for #Bitcoin mining.

According to the initiative's authors, mining #crypto using excess electricity will help enhance grid stability, monetize excess production, and reduce modulation cycles at nuclear power plants. 

Currently, companies sell overproduced energy at a loss due to the lack of storage options. Mining will turn these losses into revenue. According to the Association for the Development of Digital Assets, allocating one gigawatt of power to mining could generate $100M–$150M in annual revenue.
