The Rwanda Defence Force Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gen MK Mubarakh, accompanied by CP G Rumanzi representing Inspector General of Police (IGP) attended the 34th Policy Organs Meeting of Eastern Africa Standby Force (EASF) held in Mogadishu, Somalia from XX to XX July 2025.

The meeting brought together Chiefs of Defence Staff and Security representatives from EASF Member States. The meeting deliberatated on key Policy and Strategic issues aimed at enhancing Peace and Security in the Region.

Nine member states out of ten were represented including Burundi, Comoros, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, Sudan, Uganda.  Seychelles is absent.
