They claim they're fighting for childrens safety so if you do ANYTHING against them you're already viewed as harming children a logo that nobody wants to have. Their mode of operation revolves around doing the most petty and minimal activism possible. Targeting a brand for a t shirt, targeting a video game, ocasionaly going after some geniune degenerate stuff. All of these are incredibly low hanging fruits that nobody would risk their neck to defend and everyone get brownie points for being on their side. Objectively this does nothing to improve anything, like for example in the UK rape numbers have gone up despite activists such as them working over time to clean up society. The biggest negative thing is that it empowers credit card companies and centralizes more control over the internet (this one is demonstrable and true). And these companies will be able to do pretty much anything in the name of "brand safety" as the process is now normalized. So all in all you're dealing with grifters. People that do it to be viewed as "moral" in public without actually tackling geniune exploitation or calling things out that are politically incorrect to call out. And they also do it for profits from donations and maybe selling merch (id have to check their website to see if its the case with them in particular). All in all its pointless to debate them, they know theyre grifting, the grift is the entire point. By talking ABOUT them youre generating buzz so unless you have a plan theyre happy their name gets brought up. Theyre in Australia so they dont believe in freedom of expression, artistic creativity or the free market.
