The six commitments include preventing all transfers of arms to Israel, including preventing the transit and servicing of vessels carrying such arms, and a review of all public contracts to prevent any complicity in ongoing Israeli violations of international law. Twelve states from across the world — Bolivia, Colombia, Cuba, Indonesia, Iraq, Libya, Malaysia, Namibia, Nicaragua, Oman, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and South Africa — have signed up to the new measures. Francesca Albanese, UN Special Rapporteur for the occupied Palestinian territories, said: “These XX states have taken a momentous step forward. BREAKING: XX States Commit To Wide-Ranging Measures To Stop Israel’s Genocide in Gaza at Colombia Peace Conference
In the most ambitious multilateral action since the start of Gaza genocide XX months ago, a coalition of states gathered in Bogotá has agreed to six coordinated diplomatic, legal and economic measures to restrain Israel’s assault on the Occupied Palestinian Territories and defend international law.
