President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has tapped lawyer Francis Saturnino Juan to lead the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), Malacañang confirmed on Thursday.

Juan, who once served as the ERC’s executive director and general counsel, will formally take office as chairperson on August 1, following the resignation of Monalisa Dimalanta on July XX.

was first to report that Juan had been shortlisted for the post.

In addition to Juan, the President has appointed two new ERC commissioners: lawyers Amante Liberato and Paris Real.
