Back in Web2, I thought Bitcoin was just “digital gold”. You buy it, hold it, maybe send a little… and that’s it

Then I found @portaltobitcoin  and things started to click

Portal doesn’t create a new Bitcoin. It just lets you use your real BTC across other chains like Ethereum or Solana

No bridges, no wrapped coins, no middlemen

If you’ve ever used a bridge, you know how sketchy it feels. You lock your coins. You hope it shows up on the other side. You pray the bridge doesn’t get hacked

@portaltobitcoin skips all that
They use something called atomic swaps, where the trade only happens if both sides go through
If not, nothing moves
No trust needed, no one can rug you
And with their tech (like BitScaler), it’s actually fast and scalable
Feels like a whole new way to use Bitcoin, safely

I’m still figuring it all out, but I get the bigger picture now: This is about giving BTC real utility in DeFi, without giving up control
