"The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved higher investment limits for the NTPC, and NLC India boards to boost non-fossil fuel capacity addition in the country.

An official statement said NTPC has been allowed to invest up to Rs XXXXXX crore in its clean energy subsidiary NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL). A similar concession is given to NLC India which can now infuse Rs XXXXX crore equity in its subsidiary NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL)."
