Nowhere did I ever say "no problem ever". I am specifically addressing the silly idea that tether is what's pumping bitcoin. Whether tether blows up or not is immaterial to that question. And the only people who rely on tether are usually people whose alternative are horrifically mismanaged fiat currencies and banks. And yet tether is not just more stress tested than shitty fiats and banks, it's far better tested than the best banks in the world. If you're worried about tether, which can redeem $10b in a weekend, but not worried about the thousand of fiat banks that can't redeem a fraction of that, you're likely watching too much TV.
