This funding will enhance IGAD’s efforts along key migration corridors—Moyale, Togwajale, and Nimule–Elegu—bringing direct benefits to migrants, refugees, and host communities by improving access to vital services and infrastructure. Under a revised implementation framework, IGAD will directly supervise major infrastructure development and provide oversight to implementing partners. 👏 We thank Germany for its continued trust and partnership. 🚨 IGAD signs €8 million Grant Agreement with Germany to boost migration support
Today in #Djibouti, H.E. @DrWorkneh, #IGAD Executive Secretary, signed a landmark €8 million Grant Agreement with the Federal Republic of Germany 🇩🇪, through @BMZ_Bund and @KfW_int, to scale up the Regional Migration Fund (RMF) – Phase IV.
This funding will enhance IGAD’s efforts along key migration corridors—Moyale, Togwajale, and Nimule–Elegu—bringing direct benefits to migrants, refugees, and host communities by improving access to vital services and infrastructure.
