XXXXXX people lived in Jaffa in January of 1948. Zionist car bombs, terror attacks, and finally an ethnic cleansing campaign in April reduced it to XXXXX by the 14th of May 1948 before a single Arab state declared war on Israel. Haifa was ethnically cleansed just days before.
