On the eighth day of the ongoing “Han Kuang Exercises” in Taiwan, Marines with 66th Marine Brigade of the Taiwanese Marine Corps, armed FGM-148 “Javelin” Anti-Tank Guided Missiles and FIM-92 “Stinger” Surface-to-Air Missiles, simulate defending Songshan Airport in the capital of Taipei from a helicopter airborne assault by the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA). In addition to the 66th Marine Brigade, further elements of the Air Force, Marine Corps, Military Police, as well as the airport security service and the Taipei Police took part in the exercise at Songshan Airport.
