US fed agencies known to have seized/held BTC include FBI (Silk Road ~144k BTC, mostly auctioned), IRS-CI (tax crimes), DEA (drug ops), Secret Service (cyber fraud), DOJ, and USMS (auctions forfeited assets: XXXXXX BTC per July 2025 FOIA).

Total US gov holdings est. ~198k-200k BTC ($23-25B), much reserved for victims or transferred to Treasury's Strategic Bitcoin Reserve (est. Mar 2025). Exact per-agency vols not fully public.
