Unicoin, launched in 2015, was the first ever charitable meme coin.

It was backed by UNICEF and clothing company H&M. 

The coin features a unicorn in an attempt to appeal to kids.

Titled "the first currency dedicated to do good," the Unicoin was a currency with proceeds directly going to help children in need.

Together with their parents, children were able to upload a drawing on a campaign site, showing what they dream of becoming when they grow up.

Then they exchange it for a Unicoin, to support every child’s right to early childhood development, care and pre-primary education.

It is the first meme coin launched by a international organization.
