What you "think" scouts do or should do is so far off base. Who are they supposed to call? His coaches? His teammate? The people who have been with him, who want him to succeed? Because they would all be XXX percent honest right? Lol. Scouts trust what they SEE. That is why body language matters. Facial expressions, how a player reacts to failure. When you play a game where failure is a given, how you handle that failure is a HUGE component in determining future success. Why do you think they have pitchers wearing heart monitors in spring training games now? They are trying to see if they can measure the guys whose heart rates jump when they get into a jam, versus guys whose heart rates stay the same regardless of the situation. Some guys can slow the game down and for others the game speeds up. I didn't make the rules kid.
