The International Solar Alliance held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Tekeeua Tarati, Hon’ble Minister of Infrastructure and Sustainable Energy; Mr. Farran Redfern, Secretary, Ministry of Infrastructure and Sustainable Energy; and other senior officials from the @KiribatiGov on the sidelines of the Seventh Regional Committee Meeting for the Asia-Pacific Region in Colombo.

Kiribati appreciated ISA’s ongoing initiatives—including STAR-C, the Fellowship Programme, and the Demonstration Project that electrified a local school—and welcomed the formulation of the Country Partnership Framework. ISA will support the Government of Kiribati in providing technical assistance for XXX% solarisation of its Parliament and Ministry buildings, and in fostering private sector participation to help the country move toward energy self-sufficiency.
