New extreme BEE Law coming into effect September 2025 in South Africa. Worse than Expropriation!

The new amendments to the Employment Equity Act were promulgated in January, and will come into effect on X September 2025. This amendment gives the Minister of Employment and Labour the power to set arbitrary employment goals and enforce them via a court of law, giving large fines to ANY company over XX employees not following them. The minister recently announced that some sectors will be required to employ up to XXXX% black individuals, which is disproportionately more than the national demographics.
