Let’s add some additional context to @SenWarren ‘s statement if company’s digitize and are no longer governed by the SEC. 

If a company like let’s say like GM digitize and put themselves on the blockchain and issue digital tokenized stock, this means the market makers cannot create shares out of thin air and naked short. 

The SEC turns a blind eye to this today, market makers set ‘prices for stocks they believe is fair,’ right Ken Griffin of Citadel? 

Digitizing on the blockchain secures outstanding share count and ownership of the shares. 

No pink sheets or  blue sheets being sent offshore, no more F5 button, we get full transparency from the blockchain if the stock shares are truly on the blockchain. 

Thus, by digitizing on the blockchain it removes the rigging and cheating by the market makers/ institutions and provides true transparency and clarity.
