On July 6, 2019 Epstein was arrested on sex trafficking charges by the a joint FBI-NYPD task force. Keep in mind that at any point after Epstein's 2008 conviction he could have been investigated again and possibly arrested, but he wasn't until Trump became President.

After the arrest, MSM outrage and backlash swiftly grew about Alex Acosta. At the time he was Trump's Labor Secretary and he was also the U.S. Attorney that handled Epstein's plea deal in 2008.

On July 9th Trump was asked about Acosta and his own relationship with Epstein. The following day he had Acosta do a press conference to answer questions about the 2008 Epstein deal. It was almost an hour long.

The MSM backlash continued so two days later Trump and Acosta jointly announced Acosta's resignation.

Imagine being impeached twice, indicted four times, arrested, and shot, only to win re-election and to be dealing with this mess again. Wild.
