The big takeaway is not so much whether you should blend a banana with your fruit/berry smoothies…but that if you’re making a smoothie like this you’ll want to consume it essentially right away vs saving it for even 30-60min later. Blending a fruit/berry smoothie and leaving it for even XX minutes before drinking it significantly reduces its antioxidant/polyphenol content. OR You can just not worry about any of this at all and just drink the smoothie and enjoy it knowing that you’ve consumed more fiber and plants in your diet…which is always a good thing.
