How did they carve this from the top down, using only primitive tools?

The Kailasa Temple at Ellora is one of the most extraordinary structures in the world.

Heres why it's

📍Carved from a single rock.
📍Estimated XXXXXXX tons of stone removed.
📍No modern machines.
📍No second chances — they started from the top and worked downward.

Officially credited to the Rashtrakuta dynasty, under King Krishna I.

However, the scale, precision, and method raise serious questions.

Did they know something we don’t?
Or use techniques that history forgot?
Because there is no way this was done using hammers and chisels, right?

What do you think 🤔
