Our view:🧐 • $ASML has a technological monopoly with its lithography machines, as it is the only company in the world that makes these machines. • However it does not mean investors should pay the business at any price. • Indeed, buying an incredible business, like $ASML at a non-reasonable price could be costly mistake. • $ASML is currently trading at 20.52x EV/ 2025 EBITDA, while sales growth is expected to reach only ~15% over the same period. • We believe $ASML Stock is clearly benefitting from a rich valuation level due to high-growth expectations priced in. • However investors can have different investment strategies and horizon. • If an Investor A is entirely focusing on the next 2-3 years, $ASML may not look appealing at current level, as valuation multiples are high and growth rates not really impressive. • However if an Investor B has a 10-15 years investment horizon, he may find $ASML appealing at current level, as the business will be able to consistently grow sales and generate profits due to its monopoly. • Therefore valuation multiples that look high today will look more attractive in the future as the business continues to grow and generate profits.
