Totally get where you’re coming from -- and yes, this bill is clearly aimed at small, low-cost UAS. But I think people are underestimating how quickly adjacent platforms get pulled in once a new defense category gets funding momentum.

Think of what happened with AI chips. The initial government and enterprise focus was on training chips -- but it didn’t take long before demand spilled over into inference, networking, and power management. Companies adjacent to the core mission started seeing tailwinds simply because they fit the broader shift.

That’s how I see $ACHR and $JOBY. They’re not disposable drones -- but they’re still unmanned, DoD-backed, and aligned with the Pentagon’s move toward autonomous air logistics. If the budget is flowing into uncrewed flight, it won’t stop at subscale drones. These names are positioned to benefit as the category matures.
