My source has passed on an industry rumour regarding the #LFC Alexander Isak deal.

The headline: PIF to use Liverpool as a conduit, to funnel Saudi money to Newcastle.

Michael Edwards, FSG & the Saudi PIF have a long standing relationship, across football and cross industry (Pro Golf deals etc.)

Newcastle & PIF require a legitimate cash injection to evade PSR sanctions - the most effective method is Transfer fees.

Liverpool have various assets (Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez) who's value is both attainable by Saudi, but also believably inflatable, due to the market. E.g. Luis Diaz may be worth £50m but nobody would flinch at an £80m deal.

Saudi pay over-inflated prices for Liverpool's assets, and Liverpool pass on the "additional profit" to Newcastle in the form of an inflated transfer for Alexander Isak / Anthony Gordon.

Newcastle benefit: £120-£150m cash injection.

Liverpool benefit: Sell unwanted assets & gain a star player.

PIF benefit: Gain Liverpool assets & inject the fee paid into Newcastle.

Conclusion (opinion): If true, I wouldn't be surprised if the Isak fee reaches £140-£150m, as the "additional fee" on top of what Liverpool would expect to pay (£100-120m) would be regained via inflated fees for their players to Saudi.
