WARRANT OF ARREST ISSUED AGAINST HON. GEORGE KOIMBURI, MP FOR JUJA

The Milimani Law Courts have today issued a warrant of arrest against Hon. George Koimburi, Member of Parliament for Juja, in connection with a case involving his alleged abduction on May 25, 2025. The incident reportedly occurred after Koimburi attended a church service at Full Gospel Ebenezer Church in Mugutha.

Investigations have since revealed that the abduction was a staged event, captured on video and deliberately circulated online by the planners, along with unwitting individuals who propagated false claims of a state-orchestrated abduction.

It was further established that Koimburi orchestrated the incident to evade arrest in a separate land fraud case, for which the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) had already approved charges against him.

The case file for the alleged abduction was submitted to the ODPP for review, resulting in a decision to charge the involved suspects.

Today, the case was formally registered at the Milimani Law Courts. Four of the seven accused individuals: Peter Kiratu Mbari, Cyrus Kieru Muhia, David Macharia Gatana, and Grace Nduta Wairimu appeared in court for plea taking. They pleaded not guilty and were released on a cash bail of Sh XXXXXXX with three contact persons each.

However, Hon. George Koimburi and two other accused individuals, identified as Peter and Njuguna (alias Njugush), failed to appear in court. Consequently, the court issued warrants of arrest for all three.

The case is scheduled for mention on August 5, 2025, before Court No. X at the Milimani Law Courts.
