As far as I understand, the only way those tokens are then sold back for usds is if you're paying off or defaulting on the loan. I'd assume (or at least hope) that people taking out spx loans are doing so because they have collateral they don't want to sell (i.e. btc or eth) and want to get spx to hold for a while. While this doesn't really condone long term holding (because you have to eventually sell your spx back to the pool to close your loans) it most definitely still promotes volume and overall growth as the platform itself grows Since spx was listed on the IMF platform, over $5mil in usds has been added to its loaning pool and $1mil of that has been market bought into spx for loans so far. This is of course reflected by our current price appreciation today. As more money is added to the pool and more loans are taken out, more spx will be bought, then we should eventually get to a point where it reaches an equilibrium of sorts or maintains some steady growth I could be wrong about some of this because I'm just using what I gleaned from the platform this morning and my thoughts since then + I'm not necessarily promoting the use of this platform (dyor if you'd like to use any of its functions) But I think SPX6900 getting listed there is pretty bullish XXXXX engagements **Related Topics** [spx](/topic/spx) [$spx](/topic/$spx) [usds](/topic/usds) [$usds](/topic/$usds) [peg](/topic/peg) [united states dollar](/topic/united-states-dollar) [protocol](/topic/protocol) [lending](/topic/lending) [Post Link](https://x.com/joegrower420/status/1945538749342822852)

For those that don't know yet
@intlmemefund runs a lending protocol where you can use the usd peg $usds to provide liquidity to single sided lending pools and earn fees from loanees
The reason it's epic for SPX6900 to be listed on there is because the usds pool provided for it market buys $spx whenever someone takes out an spx loan. As far as I understand, the only way those tokens are then sold back for usds is if you're paying off or defaulting on the loan. I could be wrong about some of this because I'm just using what I gleaned from the platform this morning and my thoughts since then + I'm not necessarily promoting the use of this platform (dyor if you'd like to use any of its functions)
But I think SPX6900 getting listed there is pretty bullish
