#OTD in 1989.

At Silverstone, Alain Prost (McLaren-Honda) won the British GP, finishing XX sec ahead of local hero Nigel Mansell's Ferrari. Mansell had pressured Prost, but lost ground after picking up a puncture. Alessandro Nannini was 3rd for Benetton-Ford.
