With all due humility, I can assure you that many of us within the ION ecosystem are just as informed, if not more both fundamentally and technically. If you take a closer look at the attachments on this tweet, you’ll realize that many of the assumptions and conclusions you made in your submission have already been deeply discussed within our community, both on Spaces and in other various TLs. Let me be clear: Price talk is never the primary focus for true $ION community members. Anyone fixated on price alone likely hasn't participated in our regular discussions, nor engaged meaningfully with the community's long-term vision. Personally, I actually appreciate this submission, especially when you rightly noted that: “It’s likely unrealistic to assume that merchants, creators, and users will immediately flock to the platform upon launch.” We know this, we're aware, we're informed! And this is the main reason for the online+ different partnerships with projects and brands before launch! However, assuming that the #ION community lacks this same insight is what's surprising, because we’ve acknowledged and debated these realities over time. Let’s remember: before the rise of Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok, several platforms were once dominant but faded into history. To name a few: - SixDegrees (1997) – One of the first social networks. - Friendster (2002) – A pioneer in digital connection - Orkut (2004) – Popular in India and Brazil - Bebo, MySpace, LiveJournal, Vine - All had massive followings at one time But these platforms were eventually overtaken by smarter innovations, better strategies, and stronger ecosystems. So, it’s entirely shortsighted to assume that today’s giants will remain unbeatable forever. Please don’t take some of us for granted or mistake our silence for ignorance. Feel free to make your submissions, but labeling or pointing fingers at the community as unaware or naive is, respectfully, condescending and unnecessary.
