JUST IN: Israeli opposition Leader Yair Lapid:

In the State of Israel, as of today, there is a minority government. A minority government cannot send soldiers into battle. A minority government cannot decide who will live and who will die.

A minority government cannot decide on the fate of Gaza, to conclude a settlement with Syria or with Saudi Arabia. 

It has no authority, it has no right, it is an illegitimate government.

The time has come for elections. Now.
