It’s still backed 1:1 with real BTC.
But now it earns yield automatically. No need to claim anything. No need to manage rewards.

Here’s how it works:

→ Yield comes from Babylon’s Bitcoin staking
→ Rewards are swapped into LBTC over time
→ The amount of LBTC you hold stays the same, but its value grows
→ When you redeem, you get more BTC back

This upgrade means:

• No claiming from staking pools
• LBTC works across DeFi like before
• Yield is baked in
• Reserve ratio is fully on-chain and public
• SDKs and oracles are being updated,  no action needed
