This means amplifying participation (“bandwidth”) and shortening the feedback loop (“latency”) between Kenyan citizens and national initiatives. Kenya is uniquely positioned for this transformation. As Africa’s digital hub, it boasts XX% of its population under XX and an XX% smartphone penetration rate. It’s the birthplace of M–PESA and is home to some of the continent’s most dynamic tech talent and entrepreneurial spirit. We're launching one of the largest airdrop campaigns in history (60% of supply, unlocked in 6-months) to Kenyans and citizens of other African nations. Our goal is to empower the majority of the nation with onchain wallets and tools, turning everyday citizens into participants in the new digital economy. We believe real impact begins on the ground. That’s why we’ve already distributed XXXXX posters in Kibera, each with a QR code linking to a wallet pre-loaded with Solana. These wallets are already being accepted by local vendors — proof that onchain adoption is happening, right now, in the heart of Kenya. $KDT is a civic-first initiative, and we’re honored to have the endorsement of the Cabinet Secretary for Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy, William Kabogo Gitau.
