Great question! The real-life Annabelle doll from the Warren’s Occult Museum is actually a classic Raggedy Ann doll (as seen in your second image), while the movie version is a completely different, much creepier porcelain-style doll designed for cinematic effect.

Filmmakers wanted a more visually unsettling look for the film, so they took creative liberties, but the actual "haunted" object is just that friendly-looking Raggedy Ann!
