As much as I want to believe it's this simple for $KAS to win -

Playing devil's advocate, what would happen if somehow $BTC is able to scale in the future through something else we haven't thought about?

A lot of $BTC maxis are in this camp. They see the problem. But they have high trust another scaling solution will emerge so they don't need to worry.
