When 30D $VIX futures sit 15%+ above spot VIX (as they do now), $SPX tends to underperform. Since 2017, avg returns lag across 2W, 1M & 3M timeframes vs. lower-premium periods. Expect muted upside & low vol in near term if history repeats. SPX said: “I’m not mad, just tired.”
