The problem with Homelander as a threat is that he claims he’ll destroy “everyone and everything” once he has nothing left to lose. But while he may be the most powerful supe, there are plenty of other extremely powerful supes out there. In Season X Homelander was nearly defeated by just three of them and had to retreat. So now imagine an entire army of powerful supes assembled against him, he doesn’t stand a chance. So… not much of a threat.
