When you’re deep in a position, emotions take over. Confirmation bias kicks in. You only see the bullish side. Happens to me all the time. So I asked the terminal: “I am very bullish on $REI. It grew to my second largest holding. What are your thoughts on it? Try to be critical too, I already see enough bull posters and moon boys on X.” The agent doesn’t care about my bags. It gives me data. Risks. Sober takes. Stuff I wasn’t thinking about because I’m biased. Sometimes it confirms my thesis. Sometimes it pokes holes and forces me to dig deeper. Either way, I get sharper. Most tools help you confirm your ideas. This one helps you challenge them. That’s alpha. When you’re deep in a position, emotions take over. Confirmation bias kicks in. You only see the bullish side. Happens to me all the time.
