$MS Morgan Stanley’s stock traders scored their best second quarter on record, earning $XXXX billion in equity-trading revenue, a XX% jump from a year ago.

The firm’s wealth management unit reeled in $XXXX billion of net new assets in the period, surpassing predictions, and the wealth-management business posted $XXXX billion in net revenue, also surpassing analyst forecasts.

Chief Financial Officer Sharon Yeshaya said "Most of these companies are just ready to get on with it," and noted that the majority of the investment-banking revenue came in the second half of the quarter.
