China Shock 2.0:
US adopted to XXX by moving up value chain to design jobs & giving up on mfg.
Good move short term for PnL & stock valuation, but long term disastrous as America lost the expertise in making "simple" stuff/parts.

China is rolling fwd w/ Industry XXX & turning everything into smart devices. It knows how to make every part of smart consumer products & make them in highly automated smart factories.

Ppl don't understand when I talk about AI robots. Everything will become smart around us, which functionally becomes AI robots, like your lawn mover, pool cleaner, TV, vacuum, delivery & home entertainment.

nytimes here is right to use the term "economic Darwinism". That's what it is. The cut throat competition in China is hard to describe to most, but it's real.

If you don't know how to make stuff & don't have the supply chain next to you, then how can you beat competition that's next to it & have to fight XX other competitors along the way?
