In a major development, the United Kingdom has removed Pakistan from its Air Safety List, allowing PIA and other carriers to apply for direct flight permissions once again.

The decision by the UK’s Air Safety Committee comes after sustained cooperation with Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority and a thorough review of safety standards.

The move is expected to ease travel for over XXX million people. The British High Commissioner welcomed the decision, saying she looks forward to flying with a Pakistani carrier.
