The road to true autonomous driving isn’t paved with kilometers; it is built on every single one.

Traditionally, mapmaking focused on covering kilometers to chart new roads.

However, for autonomous vehicles, every kilometer driven is valuable, even if it is on the same road.

Autonomous driving thrives on a large amount of data, which falls into two main categories:

•Common scenarios like lane changes and navigating intersections.

•Unusual events such as jaywalkers, near misses, or accidents.

While the physical infrastructure on a road might remain constant, the driving conditions are always changing.

Factors like weather, pedestrian movements, vehicle positions, and unexpected near misses create new data with every journey.

For vehicles equipped with advanced camera systems, like the @NATIXNetwork VX360, each trip even on familiar routes, generate fresh, and useful data.

This means the value isn’t in how many kilometes are driven, but in the volume of any kilometers driven.

A small number of these devices, spread globally, can generate more data than traditional methods.

This is why a network of vehicles with the VX360 provides a much richer and valuable dataset compared to mapping networks that rely only on front-facing dashcams.

This shift in data collection changes the game for autonomous driving development, and NATIX Network is the ultimate frontier.
