Asked whether Melania has influenced his views on Putin, Trump said she’s “very smart” and “very neutral,” adding that she’s a bit like him—someone who simply wants the killing to stop.

“People ask if I’m on one side or the other,” he said. “I’m on the side where people stop dying. 5,000, 6,000, even XXXXX people are dying a week—not even counting civilians in towns and cities being hit by missiles. They’re dying too.”
