If Trump makes good on his threat to slap XXX% tariffs on countries that purchase energy from Russia, virtually the entire U.S. manufacturing base will have to be shuttered because almost every manufacturer depends on parts from countries that buy energy from Russia. Those countries include China, India, Turkey and the EU, for starters. Imagine trying to build cars, or air conditioners, or data centers (or almost anything) while having zero access to supply chains from those countries. Trump is essentially enacting an ECONOMIC EMBARGO AGAINST THE USA. It's right up to the definition of economic terrorism against ourselves!
