While Barça is owned by its members, everyday fans. PSG’s main sponsor, Qatar Airways, is also owned by PSG. So are Qatar Tourism, QNB, and Ooredoo — all sponsors since 2011. In other words, PSG has basically been sponsoring itself for over a decade and @PSGINT_ is lecturing us about debt lol 😭😭😭 Can anyone point to a bigger example of financial doping in modern football? To be fair, PSG’s leadership is clever. They’ve gamed the system and played it well and this is not to excuse Barca because they’ve made a lot of mistakes and the club paying for it. Bartomeu in particular did serious damage to this very beautiful historic club and I speak for most fans when I say we all hope he pays for his sins someday. But don’t come here and lecture us about debt like ya’ll didn’t reached the top with some serious advantages. The point is, if you live in a glass house… maybe it’s better not to throw stones.
