Aside from (most) being stakeholders like all Albertans, what authority do they have, and what decisions can they actually make? Isn’t it the job of elected representatives to engage with citizens and understand their concerns? Also, does it really take 16+ people parading around the province to do that? It raises real concerns about whether this is genuinely about public service or just another initiative that benefits insiders at the public’s expense. If it’s the latter, it only further erodes trust in public institutions, which is already hanging by a thread.
