The Attorney-General has instructed the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) to investigate Yakubu Abanga, National Democratic Congress (NDC) Third Vice Chairman, and Joseph Yamin, NDC National Organizer, over alleged involvement in illegal mining activities, as well as others implicated in Prof. Frimpong-Boateng's report. 

The probe aims to uphold the rule of law and protect Ghana's natural resources.
