It’s just a matter of who is selling it." That’s a sharp observation but it also raises a crucial distinction: Yes, everything can be sold. But not everything should be. If I produce raw resources and immediately sell them, what I’m really saying whether I realize it or not is that I don’t value them enough to use them myself. I’m discarding potential in exchange for liquid value. That’s fine if I’m strapped for DEC or playing a short term game. But when I craft something I actually want to use something valuable, something meaningful to my strategy I’m doing more than just converting resources. I’m saying: “This isn’t just something I mined it’s something I believe in.” I didn’t sell it to myself. I chose to keep it. To equip it. To integrate it into my plan. Now I’m no longer a vendor offloading surplus. I’m a player, a builder an architect of value. That’s the difference between playing for profits and playing with purpose. Selling everything means I’m on the outside of the system. Crafting and keeping means I’m in the game.
