#OTD in 1957: KLM Flight 844, a Constellation, crashes in Biak (Indonesia), XX of XX aboard die. Aircraft hit the sea on a low pass over the airfield from where it took off shortly before. Cause unestablished, but investigators pointed out the danger of the unnecessary maneuver.
