Since the announcement of his passing, the media has risen to the occasion with unmatched commitment, professionalism and sensitivity. Every moment was captured, every emotion reflected and every tribute amplified. Print media houses across the country gave the former President their front pages, out of deep regard for a man whose presence shaped decades of Nigerian history. On television, the coverage was extraordinary. @channelstv, in particular, showed immense dedication. They deployed a team, led by @julezolayinka in London, to cover every movement until his body departed the United Kingdom. Today, Channels began their special broadcast as early as 7:00 AM, an unprecedented move that shows the depth of their respect for Baba. The media honored our Baba.
