Markets are already reacting to hawkish signals, as Fed minutes stress a willingness to tighten policy if price pressures persist. This stirs up volatility, with traders split over whether we’ll see hikes or a prolonged pause.  

If inflation expectations get baked in—think wage demands and preemptive price jumps—the Fed’s hand could be forced sooner rather than later, even if growth slows.
